Kaia Babydoll

I also have knitted a Kaia Babydoll top in the last couple of weeks. I am licensed to knit this for sale, so if you'd like one let me know. This one will be for Tessa this summer and is made from Bendigo Woollen Mills cotton in DK. This is a lovely soft cotton, and knits up beautifully. Tessa is a bit little for it just yet, but it should fit perfectly by the time the weather actually gets warmer!

Prices for this gorgeous wee top/dress are:
nb - 6 months $35       9 months - 1 year $40       Size 2 $45

Please excuse my terrible photography skills!

My first Vanilla

After finishing my sewing project, I cast on a Vanilla, designed by Kelly Brooker, for a gift for a friend's new baby (due in the next two weeks). It was amazingly quick and easy - a fabulous soaker that has built in room in the back to accommodate those well rounded cloth bottoms!

Some sewing

This was a project for a swap I was recently involved in. I made two passport covers and some luggage tags for someone who will soon be winging her way to Disneyland. The sewing wasn't brilliant - my machine didn't like sewing the plastic. Never mind, hopefully the imperfections won't be too noticeable! The tutorial I used for the passport covers is here.

Amy in action!

I've been desperately trying to complete a few things to fill this blog with handcrafted items. I finished an Amy, by designer Kelly Brooker a couple of weeks ago, but it ended up being a bit big for Tess to model properly (my Debbie Bliss yarn stretched more than anticipated when I blocked it), so my friend Kate let me 'borrow' her lovely 3 year old daughter to model it for me. This is the result:

I am licensed to knit this and Amy's three sisters (yet to be released), so if you'd love one for a special little girl in your life - ask me! (Prices are yet to be confirmed)
